About Dukascopy

Dukascopy Bank is a Swiss online bank based in Geneva. It was founded on November 2, 2004 by Andre and Veronika Duka, who still own 99% of the company, and Andre Duka remains chief executive. It is regulated by FINMA, the Swiss financial regulator, as both a bank and a securities firm. The group has more than 300 staff, with subsidiaries in Riga (Dukascopy Europe) and Tokyo (Dukascopy Japan) and a representative office in Hong Kong. It is not a US-regulated broker.

Trading runs through the SWFX Swiss FX Marketplace, the bank's own ECN, which pools liquidity from more than 20 major banks. Dukascopy says it has no dealing desk and does not requote. More than 1,000 instruments are available, covering forex, precious metals and CFDs on stocks and other markets. The trading platform is JForex, now at version 4, with over 250 technical indicators on web, desktop and mobile. Commissions depend on account size and monthly volume, and the minimum deposit is $100.

Because it is a bank, Dukascopy offers things most forex brokers do not: multi-currency accounts, Visa and Mastercard cards, currency exchange and e-banking. It also trades 19 cryptocurrencies, offers crypto custody and lending, and has issued its own coin, Dukascoin. Dukascopy TV, its online financial television channel, is another unusual extra.
